That having been said, I think a good place to start would be the oval-shaped, iron foundation / crawl space vents that lace the front porch masonry below the porch. They are unusual, to say the least, but well within keeping of the Victorian Queen Anne architectural style of the house (and they look fantastic). They were suggested t

Big surprise: Google slam dunks another year of solid earnings

Thu, 17 Apr 2008 19:45:22 PDT
With Google’s dominant position in the growing online advertising space, it’s no surprise that the king of search delivered another year of solid earnings. And the trends driving those increases link closely with what’s happening in the global economy. Overall Google increased its earnings by 42% compared to last year, according to its press release, with revenues of $5.19 billion. One thing worth noting is Google’s gradually increasing revenue that comes from sources outside the United Stat

Cons: RCMP Raid Was a 'Publicity Stunt'

Wed, 16 Apr 2008 13:10:43 PDT
Pass the tissues. Oh how I weep for those poor victims of the RCMP raid of the Cons' headquarters. Not. The tories are scrambling to paint themselves as being oppressed after yesterday's raid (which continues today). The problem is that they appointed the two Elections Canada officials they're now suing and that they applaud the RCMP (even protecting Zaccardelli to the bitter end) except when they're the targets of a legally-sanctioned warrant. And now, they're also trying to implicate the Li

Kristy Lee Cook Leaves American Idol 2008

It's now down to the Top 6 in American Idol 2008.
Last night, and as expected, one of the girls was voted off the show and it was Oregonian Kristy Lee Cook!
Kristy and two other girls were in the danger zone yesterday ... they got the lowest number of votes for their not so good performances of Mariah Carey's songs the night before.
Kristy stood there, side by side with Syesha Mercado and Brooke White.
After her elimination, Kristy Lee playfully sat on the judges' table right in front of Simon Cowell and serenaded him with her performance of Mariah's song 'Forever'.

Next week, the Top 6 will battle it out with Phantom of the Opera composer Andrew Lloyd Webber! That's gotta be hard!

A news junkie’s dream …. or nightmare

Wed, 16 Apr 2008 10:46:47 PDT
I am a news junkie and admittedly if I had cable plus the extra TV I would probably have either CNN or CBC Newsworld on the whole time I’m in my room I jokingly call my office. So when I saw Brian Solis’ post about local broadcast news going social I was at first rather skeptical of the the idea; after all everything these days is having the social sticker slapped on its ass like it is going to be the road to instant riches or something. But when I clicked on the LiveNewsComeras.com link (go
