London Police launch Mashup

A few days ago I heard the London Met (Metropolitan Police) has launched a test site mashing up mapping data from Google with their crime statistics. I remember reading about a similiar implimentation two years ago in the US when a young programmer decided to mashup his local police data with Google Maps. Turns out the police at the time were a little unhappy with that data being re-used in such a manner, as it may have upset neighbors whose houses fell into high crime zones. Back to the Lon

We’ve had so many unsavory obscure organizations canvassing for ages it is hard to remember there really are some worthy causes out there. And they were polite teenagers too! Drama has rarely been done well in a web series. I held out hope that "Gemini Division" and "Stephen King's N" might reverse this trend, as both boast some serious creative muscle behind them and both feature top-notch production values. As it turns out, one out of two ain't bad.
